About Module 1

Our first module provides an overview of both layered communication models and data communication. The overview includes a brief examination of communication standards, architectures, and concepts. The module includes an examination of both the OSI Model's top and the bottom layers i.e. the Application and the Physical Layers.

Learning Narrative

I really enjoyed learning the different types of TCP Layers and Application Protocols and Network Media. I believed that we started off this Networking class with right topics because each layer was very interesting and learning which layers they are has taught me how our Internet truly works. I didn't do well on the test because my textbook that I purchased still hasn't arrived and I wasn't able to use the questions at the end of chapter to help me prepare for the test. But then studying each individual layers before the test has truly prepared me to answer most of the questions. My favorite assignment for this module have to be the OSI and TCP Layered Models because it really went in depth what each layers does and has got me a better understanding of OSI and TCP layered models. I also enjoyed answering the assignment for Application Protocol assignment.
